Yet another heavy hitter in Eisenhorn's saga. The twists caught me by surprise and the ending was deeply satisfying.

Author's style really evokes the best of Letters to Penthouse:

"Stunning, volatile, brilliant, sexy, she had inherited her late father's pilot skills as surely as she had inherited his dark Glavian skin and fine looks."

As usual, only that... and the anticlimactic rushed ending, and the feeling that this was the fifth novel he was speed-writing that year spoil the overall enjoyment in bits of bonkers WH40K lore strewn throughout, the real reason why I'm subjecting myself to this.
