This book is excellent. We know about Martin the martyr. In this book we learn about Martin the man, the husband, the father, his flaws, his pain, his unending faith, and his heart for changing the lives of his people and the world. The author’s research is impeccable. It took him 6 years to write it. It includes recently declassified FBI information which shows just how obsessed Hoover was destroying him and had the full power of the US government to do it.  He really does justice to Coretta, I want to read her bio. Also learned a lot about Rustin which is a now on Netflix. Highly recommend.

Read it. Learn about the humanity of him.

Very well researched but at times there might be too many facts-things like the mileage on a car or what color shoes someone had on.
