Nemam slov….
Ten styl toho psani byl fakt uzasny ale nekdy jsem byla ve fazi kdy jsem nevnmimala ten styl toho psani a jen jsem chtela cist ten dej a zadny tezke premylseni tim stylem jak ona psala. Nekdy ses musela zamyslet vlastne co nam chtela autorka naznacit. Musela jsem nejak vylustit jakyma emocema si ten hlavni charakter prochazel a to bylo krasny, ale nekdy proste chces jen cist dialogy a preskocit to tezke premysleni. LOVE TRIANGLE ?!?!?! COTOBYLO PROBOHA. A TEN KONEC ?!?!?

This is the first book I have read that I felt genuinely uncomfortable with reviewing at anything less than 5 stars.

This book was truly beautiful. Every painstaking moment was well worth the pacing, the questions, the realizations, the fear, longing, and sorrow. This book was incredibly written and I loved every moment. It’s certainly a slower read, but I think that’s the genius of this book! The pacing lends itself to the story in a way that I have never once experienced. V.E. Does such a stunning job of making these characters truly feel real, and I felt every moment of their pain, love, and triumph. I loved the way she wove the story into a non-chronological narrative that revealed itself little by little in the way that life is truly experienced. Her storytelling has changed the way I ever could have imagined that stories could be told. It’s both non-chronological, and kind of real-world meta. I.e. these characters may exist in real life and this may truly be a non-fiction tale. I wish I could say more about this story, but I’m so glad that I spent the time to really slow down and savor every moment of this book. When you read it, I thoroughly suggest keeping track of the dates, reading every part of the section blurbs about the art, and tabbing for a few different things! I tabbed this book for the following, and found it to be a great way to interact with the story: important information, funny/happy, moments of a character that I LOVED (initial E to avoid spoilers), love/romance (this is NOT a typical romance novel. Do NOT expect sex/smut), quotes, plot twist/new characters/narrators), questions, relatable moments, call-backs, sad moments, and foreshadowing. I know that’s a LOT, but it really helped me connect with the story on a deeper level, and of course you can pick and choose what works for you, this is just what I picked to tab for.

TLDR: this book will rip out your heart, piece it together, and rip it out again. It will change your ideas of how stories can (SHOULD) be told, and I would suggest finding a way to connect with the story on a deeper level than just reading it. It’s a dense book, but remember to have fun with it!!

Ngl, I was very excited about this book but i felt like it just fell short of many of my expectations as I genuinely think that it was annoying from the start. I felt like there were some great premises but they fell short in a constant dragging of the plot that felt far more didascalic than adventurous and in that I shall admit that it is mostly my taste that didn't enjoy such a thing BUT the characters to me just fell flat with Adeline being so annoying and whiny at times, with not enough depth while the love interest to be at times seemed just plainly boring. I understood his pov but I couldn't help but confront it with the fact that he is a white male. I genuinely found the antagonist the most interesting alongside the ending of this book where I noticed all of this better introduced. (especially if I can say, I dreaded the mc suffered from a terrible case of 'not-like-the-other-girls' syndrome).
