i feel like this is disrespectful and misrepresentative of people with DID - i do appreciate that sadie ended up not being the villain, however the twists were unbelievable. further, the book was poorly written and nonlinear but in a bad way?

I didn’t know anything about this book going into it.
The first 70% was a hodge podge of people/perspectives/storylines and I didn’t even know what I was supposed to be focusing on. It was a scrambled hot mess. I liked it, but could find no redeeming characters, unrealistic behaviors and pretty much utter confusion.
But then....
Like when Dorothy awakens in the Emerald City, it became crystal clear and it was amazing I don’t think I’ve ever had such a wide range of how I was expecting to rate a book to what I ended up with once it was over.
I recommend reading it and don’t give up - there’s a method to the madness

Was not totally drawn in because I wasn’t really in the mood for a thriller and I didn’t love the narrator but was still fine, twisty and the resolution atypical in that the supposed unhinged woman was not vilified and got justice for being exploited

Started it as an audiobook. Couldn't really get into the story because of the narrator
