I love Mary Kubica and this book was one of her better ones. It is about a family where the woman is a medical doctor and the man is a stay at home dad to two sons while teaching poart time at a community college. The family gets word that the man's sister committed suicide and left her home on an island in Maine to them as long as they take care of her daughter, Imogen.
There are flashbacks throughout, that seem unconnected at first, until more and more about the various characters is revealed.
The story is told from multiple points of view and I found it difficult to like several of the characters.
Truly a great read, with twists and turns that I didn't see coming!
