I would say 3.5 ⭐️. I overall liked the book but was going back and forth about how much I liked it when the plot would appear to going in a certain direction but then switched gears. In the end I think it redeemed itself and maybe I should be less focused on trying to figure it all out ahead of time and just enjoy the ride.

This book was a solid 4/5 stars for me until the second plot twist (I guessed the first one pretty early on) when I felt like it became overly dramatic / soap opera-y. That said, I was really engaged throughout the book and couldn’t put it down because I wanted to see what happened (and if I had guessed correctly!) I found myself slightly annoyed the last few chapters, but still got out of it what I look for in psychological thrillers.
I caught on to part of the twist early on and was worried the book would fall flat but it did not! The ending was so good!
