I LOVE LOVE LOVE Daisy and Kane! They are so cute together. The slow burn was SO worth the wait. I couldn’t get enough of either character. I love Daisy and how strong she tries to be even with Lupus. I love how she tries to handle it all on her own but does accept help when she realizes she does need it. I love the chemistry between her and Kane. I love how Kane knew something was seriously wrong with her and wouldn’t stop until he found out. I love how he read about Lupus and wanted to do everything in his power to minimize the symptoms and flare ups. I love the banter between these two. I just couldn’t get enough of them and did not want the book to end.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Kane is Daisy's brothers best friend and they spent a night together before he left to follow his dreams. She knew that he was destined for more and she pushed him to reach his dreams even at the risk of breaking her own heart. Now, Daisy is moving in with her brother only Kane is his next door neighbor. Kane has anger towards her, but that eventually changes and grows into more. He has a complicated family dynamic but they are sweet together. Daisy grows as a character through this story and you know that these two characters are meant to be. I enjoyed their story and I highly recommend.

I’ve got her in the palm of my hand, thinking I’m playing nice when I’m filling her with all sorts of things that’ll make her more likely to strip naked and lose. But… what would she do if I kissed her? Would she kiss me back?

This might be my favorite one yet! I devoured it! It kept me up way past my bedtime, “just one more chapter, I swear!” Until my eyes were so bleary I couldn’t read the words. Watching Daisy and Kane go from enemies to their HEA was so worth it!

The sexual tension was primo! I loved the slower burn of getting these two together again. And the heartache was just that perfect hit of pain without bordering on making either MC irredeemable. (Though I am getting tired of the manwhore MMC trope, Kane’s behavior wasn’t as offensive to me.)

I mean, who doesn't love a man who falls first? I should ask, who doesn't love a man who realizes how much he still loves the girl and then goes to such great lengths to prove it to her? I know I am a sucker for it!

I loved the chronic ilness rep. Loved the way SJ Sylvis portrayed the realities of an autoimmune disorder (in this case, Lupus). The fear of a relapse, but also the desire to live life to its fullest. Trying to find a new normal that doesn’t set you back.

This is a slower-burning, very spicy MF romance that ends in a HEA. It is part of the interconnected Blue Devils Hockey series, but can be read as a complete standalone.

I highly recommend losing sleep over this read!

Thanks to Valentine PR and SJ Sylvis for the advanced copy.

A second chance is on the cards for Blue Devil badboy Kane Barlow when the girl who rejected him and broke his teenage heart moves into the apartment below his. Daisy Sullivan had reluctantly moved in with her doctor brother but suffering from a chronic illness it made sense to be closer to specialists. If she’d know Kane would be living so close, she’d never have agreed. It didn’t help he was her brother’s best friend and had agreed to help her find her job but only because he’d seen a way to humiliate her for dumping him.

Rush the Edge was engaging from the start with its hint of the forbidden and its enemies to lovers’ trope. There was so much festering angst and unresolved tension between Kane and Daisy it was almost painful. He wanted to hate her because of their past but his heart really wasn’t in it, and he knew that there was something that she wasn’t telling him. When he saw her weak, he couldn’t help but want to take care of her even though he tried to hide it. The possessiveness in Kane definitely veered towards the morally grey end of the spectrum and he wasn’t above spying on her to find out her secrets. The tension slowly built between them and their banter was wicked and delicious as they poked and prodded trying to find each other’s weak spot and flirting with other people in attempts to goad reactions out of the other until the pent up passion between them exploded with a game of strip hockey so hot I’m surprised they didn’t melt the ice or at least end up with frostbite somewhere important but until they could clear the air by discussing what had happened between them in the past they wouldn’t have a future. He didn’t know she had believed she was doing the best thing for him.

These books aren’t as dark as some of SJ Sylvis’ other books so if you’re looking to test the water with her books then this is the perfect series to start with

I love Kane and daisy 🥺I love me a brothers best friend trope and this didn’t disappoint!! They may had a complicated past but Kane grew on me I love how grumpy, possessive and sweet Kane is towards daisy🥺 he was down bad for her and I don’t blame him!! Daisy is such a sweetheart she is kind and very strong! I also wanna say the lupus representation was so well done!!! And lastly I wanna say I can’t wait for the next book because those little sneak peeks omg I can’t wait 🤭🤍
