What a freaking B-A-N-G-E-R of a book! Relatable FMC, yes! Possessive MMC, yes! Strip hockey, yes! This was a fantastic hockey romance and I cannot wait wait to read more!
I absolutely devoured this book and left no crumbs! I was in love with Kane and Daisy from the very beginning and I was just itching for them to get back together. I loved the tension between the two of them and the banter...OMG was smoking! While the relationship build up was a SLOW BURN, it was so worth the wait because once they got together, I was jumping up and down, fist pumping the air!
I loved watching Kane take care of Daisy when her Lupus flared up. I also really enjoyed all the public sex capades they engaged it! SJ definitely had me sweating and blushing! I am really looking forward to Malaki and Reese's story!

This is the third book in the Blue Devils Hockey series by S.J. Sylvis. I mostly enjoy the hockey story, but this one didn't vibe with me as much as the first one did . I was not able to connect with the characters of Daisy and Kane that much . Though I gained knowledge about Lupus and love how sensitively it was handled in the book. Once again, thank you, VPR and S.J.Sylvis, for the ARC.

This was such a fun read! There is a level of seriousness with this book but itās paired perfectly with the banter.
Kane and Daisy have a past and itās a past that has been kept secret for years. But when they are forced into close proximity again, things from the past have to resolved. But Daisy isnāt the same as Kane remembered. When he discovers she is sick the way he cares for her is perfect. And Daisy knows Kaneās biggest secret, not even her brother his best friend knows this secret. What happens when feelings come back to the surface and Kaneās secret needs to come out?

"Doesnāt she understand that I love her more than I could ever love anyone else?"
I was lucky to get an ARC of S.J. Sylvis's newest book, Rush the Edge (the third book in the Blue Devils Hockey Series). It follows the story of Kane and Daisy.
I was excited to dive back into the Blue Devils Hockey world!
I adored Daisy! She was strong and resilient and did not want to be known only for her chronic illness, which made her a relatable FMC. I loved that she was into house plants. I wish she had fought harder and stood her ground whenever Kane was horrible towards her.
I had a real love-hate relationship with Kane because he could be so sweet and caring towards Daisy one day, and then the next day could be a real jerk. I loved it when he would take care of Daisy during her flare-ups. He did grow on me in the end, but it took a bit.
I have mixed feelings about Kane and Daisy's story, as there were parts that I loved and hated.
I was not a fan of the dynamic between Kane and Daisy at first; they were immature and petty towards each other, and the conflict between them could have easily been resolved if they had communicated. The conflict that existed outside of their relationship was good. Aside from that, I enjoyed the ending and loved seeing their relationship grow and evolve.
I liked the lupus representation throughout the book. It showed how having a chronic illness can affect a person's life, but also how strong and resilient they are.
I loved Malaki and Reese and can not wait to read their story in the next Blue Devils Hockey series book!

This was a great next installment of the Blue Devils Hockey series! It was interesting to learn more about Kane and his past to see what made him the grumpy guy weāve met a few times before.
Daisy Sullivan was so sweet, and it was hard to watch her have to go through everything with her autoimmune disease, but I also appreciated how hard she worked to make sure that she was keeping herself as healthy as she could to lessen the effects of the disease. I love how she was always willing to fight back when Kane was being a jerk, and she always had a sassy comeback ready for him. She had hurt him in the past, and she knew that she did, but it was still hard for her to have him be a jerk to her when he didnāt know the whole reason behind her hurting him before. I like that she always stood up for herself because she didnāt let her illness control her life in that way. Daisy was so kind and loving, but had just the perfect amount of sass to go along with it!
Kane Barlow was a grumpy guy who had a lot of past traumaāsome even from Daisyāand while it affected his life in some ways, it was interesting to see how it helped him improve his hockey game. It was also interesting to watch him fight with Daisy; he had been hurt by her, but as soon as she was back in his life, he realized how much he really missed her. It was funny to watch them fight because everyone (except maybe River š
) could see that it was just their way of flirting with each otherā¦even if they also both denied it for a while. Once Kane accepted that he never stopped wanting Daisy, all bets were off, and it was great to see him fight for her and prove to her that he wanted her and never stopped wanting her. It was also great to see Kane do as much research as he could on Daisyās autoimmune disease so that he was informed but also so he could help her if she needed it. Kane never stopped being a grump, but it was great to see Daisy break down his walls and make him happy while still being the grumpy guy we all know and love.
This was such a great story and I loved watching Daisy and Kane fight and banter throughout the story. It was such a great representation of autoimmune disease and it was great to see Daisy work her life around the disease rather than let it control her. It was also great watching Kane be there for her when she needed it, even when he was still unsure of whether he could trust her or not. Seeing them earn each otherās trust back during this story was amazing and they really were perfect for each other, so I loved seeing them find their way back to each other. I canāt wait to see what happens in the next Blue Devils Hockey story!

This series has not been a miss! Pure Gold!!! And Daisy and Kane were up there! Their banter and their tension and their battles were AMAZING!
When Daisy dropped out of college and moved in with her brother. She was not expecting his best friend to be living above them. The two between destined to continue to hate each other. When she accepts the mascot job he got her, the proximity might be too much for either of them to deny. But who's going to tell Daisy's brother.
I am a sucker for a big bad man caving for a girl and do anything for her. AND HE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HER!!! But she is just as much of sucker for him!
(Am i becoming a sucker for a brother's best friend trope?! If it's written SJ sylvis, YES)

Enemies to lovers, brotherās best friend, and a little close proximity-say less!! Daisy and Kane take slow burn, banter, tension and crazy build up to the next level, making for a fun read.
After Daisy changes cities and moves in with her brother-she quickly learns his best friend lives in the apartment above. To say these two donāt get along is a understatement-after a fling six years ago, they parted on less than ideal terms and haven't spoken since.
There is a lot of hurt left between them, but there is no denying the connection and intense chemistry they share-which was definitely not left in the past.
The banter and little games Daisy and Kane played was very entertaining. Daisy stood her ground and everything Kane threw at her- she smirked and gave back just as good! Kane was so wonderful in his protective and possessive ways-all while saying he hated her. They have this pull between them, and I really liked how they couldnāt stay apart.
These two are perfect for one another and you could see how deep their bond was, even with the time they spent apart.
I enjoyed the representation of Daisyās chronic illness in this story. It was showcased well and really added another layer for both these characters. Especially how Kane took the time to learn so he could support her.
I loved seeing the side characters of this series, they are always so fun together and the teases we got leading into the next book have me very excited!

**thank you to the author and Valentine PR for the copy of this books. This review and its opinions are my own
SJ Sylvis HAS DONE IT AGAIN! I swear, she can do no wrong. Her writing is soo dang addictive and I am in love. Rush the Edge was SOO GOOD! I had a hard time wanting to put this book down. My responsibilities had to wait until I finished. There was no way I was going to put this down. I was HOOKED from the start.
We met Kane in the first two books in this series, and he is the problem child on and off the ice. When his best friend mentions to him that his little sister, the one who got away is moving to Chicago and will now be his new neighbor. This reunion messes with Kaneās head, they left things on rocky grounds. After 6 years of not seeing each other, let's just say it's not starting off on a good start. They loathe each other and that hatred is making them both frustrated because they both know deep down, the feelings are still there. The games they were playing each other was soo fun in this! I was loving it all. Give me all the banter.
I LOVE KANE! He is so soft for the people he loves. Daisy is soo strong and independent. She is dealing with an illness and the way that he cares for her...SWOON.
Thank you so much SJ Sylvis and VPR for this ARC!

I swear this woman canāt write a book I donāt love! As an autoimmune disease girlie I related so hard to Daisy and not only the realization that alot of the time itās easier just to tell everyone we are fine, because they donāt understand, and the frustration that comes with your body fighting against itself.
The push and pull between Kane and Daisy created such delicious tension. I loved their chemistry and the fact that you could tell that even when they āhatedā each other they would have done anything to protect the other. Add in comic relief provided by Malakai (I canāt wait for his book) and this book is a must read!
