Feel like I’m chasing the enjoyment of the first book through the rest of the series.

Enjoyed the representation and informed use of Lupus for FMC but WAY to fast on the plot otherwise. And the spice overtook the plot

This is the third book in the Blue Devils Hockey series. In this book we have Kane and Daisy. These two have known each other a long time. Daisy is the sister of Kane’s best friend. Kane stayed with their family for a while. While Kane considers her brother his best friend, there was a time he was closer to Daisy than her brother. When Kane was in jeopardy of being kicked off the hockey team, Daisy tutored and help him pass his class. As these two grew closer, they became more than friends. In fact Kane was the first person Daisy slept with. Now unfortunately the next day she was kind of cold and sent him on his way for her own personal reasons. That betrayal really torn out Kane’s heart. He didn’t have many people to support him. I loved this book. It was so angsty. Kane was deeply hurt and to mask his feelings, he was bitter and played a lot of tricks on her. Daisy has an autoimmune disease and therefore had to be strong. She was able to persevere under difficult situations. Kudos to the author for talking about this illness and bringing these illness into the light so that people can understand how some people are silently suffering. Great addition to this series.
