I love JLA, but wow… this was not great
The romance between Jensen and Ella was strong, but the whole mystery plot was unintriguing and predictable. The climax was rushed and not overly well written.

This is a heartbreaking story with a very shocking plot. There is love, a lot of murder, and a highschool lovestory. It is crazy but amazingly written! You learn more and more about the characters during the story and u just need to know what happens next.

3 reasons why I hated this book:
1. The boring, insta-lovey, underdeveloped romance.
2. The fact that as soon as Deputy Shaw was introduced, I knew he was the killer, and I also predicted Gavin's hand in it.
3. How unbelievably FUCKING LUCKY Ella is. It's complete bullshit. The girl takes a self-defense class-- one in which she spends more time getting horny than learning-- for a damn month or two and manages to singlehandedly fight off both murders. They killed fucking four or five other people and scrawny pathetic Ella is the one who someone managed to off them. Seriously?!
Not only is this fucking ANNOYING AS HELL, but completely, completely farfetched.

well am i a detective or what? i guessed gavin and that penn didn’t really kill himself. but shaw was a surprise. birds in mouthes were a nice touch.
i wish there was more spice though.
