I'd first spotted this cozy mystery on Lifetime television and loved seeing the new episodes and the re-runs. I love the idea of this murder club that meets. It's such an interesting mix of true crime and book club that I find fascinating.

It was just recently I realized it was a book series! So I quickly put the book on hold and ran to my nearby library to pick it up! And it was adorable. I found book Roe to be much more preachy- meh, I could have done without that. Otherwise, I completely embraced the differences of show and the book - even if it does involve a love triangle that is long passed in the series. I thought the addition to the little brother was interesting too!! All in all, I'm so glad I've both seen the series (to give some faces to a few of these characters) but also that I've now started the book series. I enjoy both for different reasons and definitely plan to continue this series!!

This book did not fail to keep me interested and curious! I really think that the way Charlaine Harris writes is meticulous and well-thought out. I didn’t want to stop reading!

Decent story. Love Charlaine Harris.

So real. I'd suspected Melanie. Two of the murders were murders supposedly committed by women. But not Bankston though it makes sense now.

Not a bad book. A well-written mystery with a quirky protagonist and interesting characters. However, I found myself missing the supernatural element and romance of the Sookie Stackhouse series. I'll likely read the rest of the Aurora Teagarden books after I've finished several others on my list first.

Light, quick read. It's definitely enjoyable, but doesn't have a lot of real substance to it.
