At 20 books into a series, I would hope that the heroine would have some personal growth, instead we get the same jokes, ( that are so not fun anymore) , the same do I or don't I commit to one man, the same, the same ,the same.... I'm so disappointed. I feel like I wasted 20.00., I think I will read the next one from the library, I still have hope however that Stephanie will start taking her own skips down, and maybe drop Morrelli for Ranger. :)
Great as always, but never long enough.. I tried to make it last, but it just didn't.. Now it's back to waiting for the next one to come out. :P
I'm not the only person who thinks she isn't writing these herself. This was a remarkably bad effort, really disappointing. The funniest part was when Stephanie bought a vacuum cleaner and equated this with being ready to settle down with Morelli. Which doesn't sound funny does it.
I don't care that she can't choose between morelli and ranger. Neither can I. I think they are funny and a good mystery. No it's not "literature" but it's a fun, easy read to take you away from your day.
Not one of my favorites. The story was not that engaging, and the resolution was not satisfying. And, I think I am finally over the Stephanie/Morelli/Ranger triangle. I found it more irritating than interesting after all these books.
How many times did Ranger say, "babe" and hang up on her? Lula was funny as usual. Stephanie CHOOSE A MAN FOR GODSAKES!!!!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – if you’ve never read Stephanie Plum, pick up one of the earlier stories when they were fun and still fresh. These later novels depend on recycled plots, overused scenarios, and just general hijinks to get the job done.

I love this series, but its really time to let the characters evolve.
This one was one of the better ones in the series. I get that Evanovich doesn't want to have Stephanie pick one of the guys, but the back and forth is starting to get a little tired. Always good to have more Grandma M in the novel.
