I am in love with this series. Such a great light funny read. This was the first audio book that I listened to and it was so entertaining. A little cheesy and predictable at times but definitely worth the read. Stephanie Plum makes such a great bounty hunter and gets herself into so many crazy situations, you can't help but love her.

forgot to record this one - must not have stuck with me!

I enjoyed the book, though I have my issues with it as well. I tend to classify the Plum books in the Pre-Scrog and Post-Scrog categories. 1-12 were excellent books. I loved every minute of them. 13-20 have declined, though 20 is one of the better ones.

Pros: Ranger, Ranger, Ranger! As a Ranger fan, I thought he showed some emotional development/vulnerability that we haven't seen from him in a while. The bridge scene, followed by the scene at her apartment later that day-loved them! The giraffe was a surprisingly decent part of the book. I didn't expect to like it. I also liked the ever-so-slight maturation of Stephanie's character in the buying a vacuum and learning to use her slow cooker aspects.

Cons: The aborted commitment conversation with Morelli. It seemed predictable that she'd chicken out. I think the fact that she can't handle his family and he just hugs her and leaves when she's thrown off a bridge is telling of their relationship. I also hated that despite the fact that she just went through a bunch of stuff in 19 (which happened only a few days before this one), nothing is addressed from it. Also, the ending was way too fast and left too many things unresolved. I felt like JE was in a rush to finish.

I want to see the love triangle take a different spin (like Stephanie be in a relationship with Ranger-a REAL relationship with Ranger or have Ranger get involved with a woman that helps Stephanie see what her real feelings are for him). I'd like to see her be a little more mature and some actual romantic prospects for Lula and Connie. Julie Martine and/or Jeanne Ellen Burrows making reappearances would be nice as well.

The series is going downhill but I still love these characters.

I laughed so much!

I have read all 20 books in Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. When it comes to this crew, I always buy the audio, as Lorelei King is outstanding! Just to hear Stephanie, Lulu, Joe, Ranger, Viney, and Grandma Mazur -----a story in itself! The characters always leave you laughing no matter if you are jogging or working – they are a riot!! Lulu is my favorite – and hope there will be another movie!

As usual, Stephanie is staking out a mob guy “Uncle Sonny” – breaking her finger, thrown off a bridge, senior moments, and all the things which happen being a bounty hunter. As long as Stephanie can get chicken and donuts…. The book was hilarious, entertaining, and hope it never ends (if it does make sure and give Joe and Stephanie a happily ever after) and use Lulu for another series as she is just too funny to retire. (Good job with the one liners, Janet)… I have enjoyed the Plum Series more than some of the other series.
funny fast-paced

Big sigh for me with this book. I don't know what the overall goal of the series is any more. Is it about Stephanie? Is it about catching bad guys? Unlike in past books I thought I saw some growth in Stephanie. Not much but more than in recent memory. Not a lot of substance with the other characters and the story line never really came together. Still it was an ok read and what I was expecting. I continue to wonder where Lula gets the cash to pay for all that food and her hair especially when Stephanie doesn't have funds.

Still amused, still team Morelli. I am starting to get nervous about what I'll do when I run out of Stephanie Plum books! They are a great distraction when I run!

Fun read, as always.
