I always enjoy my yearly visit to the 'Burg. I just wish that if Stephanie can't make her mind up about Ranger, she'd send him my way.

I only continue reading this series because I want to read the final book. This one was basically the same as the last ten, only with a giraffe.

her life is still as messed up as ever but I guess there wouldn't be much to read if she got her shit together

At this point, the Stephanie Plum books are kind of like the last piece of pie in the fridge – you don’t necessarily need to eat it, but its there and then you can go ahead and wash the plate. After 20 books, we pretty much know what will happen and what all of the characters will say or do, much like a well-established sit-com. Using this to her advantage, Evanovich focuses the story on one big mystery, where the characters are focused on the case at hand, foregoing the need to move their individual character arcs forward. The love triangle between Stephanie, Joe and Ranger is pretty much over now that Stephanie and Joe are in a fairly committed relationship and the other characters pretty much stay the same. If you’re looking for light fare and a mystery with the comfortable patter of old friends, this may be a good book to chuck in your beach bag, but otherwise I’d say skip it.

Delightful as always. I love that I can count on this author to entertain!

Dear Janet.... Ive loved your books for so long. They had me laughing out loud. Please stop now. Find new characters & give Stephanie & the boys a proper fun ending.

Typical Stephanie Plum. Amusing, lots of slapstick, very funny :^)

Listening to this at work today and I laughed so hard I was bent over and had tears in my eyes. Just love Janet's writing. Always bust a gut.

Also good for a quick light read that literally makes me laugh out loud.

I love Stephanie Plum. The books are a mix of mystery, romance and hi-jinks. And it's fun that I lived in the 'Burg for a year.
