Book #13 Read in 2017
Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich

In the 20th book in the Stephanie Plum series, Stephanie really has not improved as a bounty hunter. She is on the hunt for a few fugitives, with varying degrees of success. She is assisted by Lula, Ranger and her zany Grandma. She and Morelli are still deciding their romantic future. Add a giraffe on the loose, and you have a read that is full of action, humor and romance. Great series!

Something to listen to whilst commuting....

I did like the lighthearted element of Kevin... but they way they just tied him in at the end was way too neat/clean/boring

Audiobook

After Reading:

The only reason I gave this book two stars instead of one was because there was a giraffe in it. Giraffes are my favorite animals and therefore a star is earned. The book itself? Just as I figured. Stephanie cannot choose between Ranger or Morelli. Stephanie has klutzy moments and bad things happen to her. Stephanie nearly gets killed. Stephanie gets the eye on her again. Lula is still is tight clothes but no strange diets. Grandma doesn't shoot anyone but she is still involved. Basically if you read books 1-19 you know what happens in this book. Different murder scenario, different killer, Stephanie somehow saves the day and there is a giraffe and bingo. This series officially died for me about five books ago.

I am unsurprisingly supremely disappointed.

Before Reading:

Please let this book be the last in the series and PLEASE let it end on a high note! The last five books were all pretty much the same and I'd hate for this to drag out too much longer.

7/15/13 EDIT: Oooh we have a cover! Interesting.

Same old storyline, but I still like the characters and am just holding out for Stephanie to get her shit together and pick Morelli (possibly after one more fling with Ranger)!

This series has definitely jumped the shark but I love it so much that I don't care! Yes, it's the same storyline over and over but I love all the characters, the books make me LOL, and the love triangle is fun.

This is the best Stephanie Plum in a while. It is the same-old-same-old, but I laughed out loud more than a few times. This is a good read to lift your spirits.
