This graphic novel is a beautifully and cleverly illustrated narration of human history as we understand it today. As I understand, much of the content was derived from Yuval Noah Harrari's book of the same name - though I cannot comment too much on the difference in content as I have not read his previous books (yet). This graphic novel served well as a way to learn about the history without feeling intimidated by heavy or dry academic language - much of the illustrations and script of the characters adds to a very engaging storyline and helps to keep readers like myself interested.
I would recommend this book to youth and adults alike with an interest in understanding history, and with a curiosity into the course of human development - and I look forward to future additions to this graphic novel series.

I guess I'm going to be the Debbie Downer here but I think he's super overrated. It's pop philosophy. Talks a big game but when you look at the details a lot of his arguments fall apart.
I think I do not appreciate this information in graphic novel format.
I have been wanting to read Sapiens so I was excited to see it in graphic form. I was a tad disappointed that it is broken into two volumes but the disappointment dissipated one I saw the beautiful illustrations and incredible amount of information. This was absolutely worth the wait and the time investment. I read this but by bit each evening.
Top dus.
This is a graphic novelization of Harari’s book “Sapiens,” and looks at the beginning of humanity discussing what we know and don’t know about early man. This volume discusses the early evolution of man and the various species of humans, how humans were different from their ape forebears, how stories plays such a large role in human society, various theories on early man’s daily life & social organization, and the deadly impact humans had on megafauna when they moved into a new area.
This was good, and did a good overview of the beginning of humans. I appreciated that in addition to providing accepted theories and ideas, it was honest about what is not known. As a graphic novel, it make the information more accessible to those who do not know much about anthropology.
