Of misschien toch 3 sterren. Het was soms te herhalend en eenvoudig. Wel heel mooie illustraties. En in ieder geval heb ik een zeer bescheiden hoeveelheid inzicht gekregen in de oorsprong van de menselijke arrogantie.
The format doesn’t really work for me. I didn’t like the drawing style or the way the story is told. The theme of the book is interesting, but I do prefer the original book.
An engaging way to learn about theories and evidence of early human history.
A really cool nonfiction graphic novel adapted from Harari's bestselling Sapiens. This was a really interesting and accessible read, but it did feel a little like it didn't know who its audience was. On the one hand, the illustrations and framing of the book were incredibly kid-friendly (superheroes, magic shows, explaining concepts to his young niece, etc.), but the concepts he was working through were pretty complex! I definitely was under the impression that this book would be more appropriate for young readers, but I think most of it may fly right over their heads.
