This book was listed as a romance/western romance. However it should be listed as drama, general fiction, AA fiction, anything but romance. And even though one of the main characters was a cowboy this wasn't a western.
The secondary storyline seemed pointless to me. It added nothing to the story.
As a general fiction this book was ok. I plan to continue to read the series, hopefully the books get better.

I really dislike amnesia plots, but I was hoping somehow Rebekah Weatherspoon could somehow pull it off and make me not hate the whole idea. It, unfortunately, did not happen.
Holy crap, this first chapter is a killer hook for the rest of the book. I can’t wait to finish it. I love basically everything Rebekah writes, and I already tell Evie’s story is going to be dramatic (yes please) and sweet (this girl is trying not to cry because Christmas carols remind her of her dearly departed nan).
Thank you to Rebekah Weatherspoon, NetGalley, and Kensington Books for the ARC. This is my honest review (of the first chapter).

I didn't think I'd read any cowboy romances, but then I came across Rebekah Weatherspoon's. I've already picked up the rest of the series.
Tropes: childhood friends to lovers, amnesia

Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Death of parent
writing is good as always, but this one just wasn’t as much my jam (I think this is probably because my love for Rafe and Xeni is so unending). 3.5.

I went into this a little unsure because I just always assumed that cowboy romances were not for me, but I was driven wrong. I thought the couple was cute, and their romance just made my heart flutter. I also really enjoyed the side characters, and I am excited to see them in the next books. The plot was fine. At times I liked how it was tied in and at others it felt a little forced.

This was the first book that I have read by Rebekah Weatherspoon. The characters and setting are intriguing. It does get start off very slowly to the point that I almost stopped reading but I pushed through. The way the story unfolds is brilliant because we know there was an EVENT that caused Zach and Evie to not speak for a decade but you don't get told right away. I will have to try another book.

Not my favorite of Rebekah Weatherspoon’s books, but it was fine. I got distracted by the typos and how the spelling of the character names kept changing (Zach/Zack, Jesse/Jessie), but overall the story was enjoyable.
