I wasn't sure I was going to like this book. I wanted to read it kind of as an experiment. Do I let Cowboy books? Do I like memory loss books? Turns out yes. Yes I do. I enjoyed pretty much every character in this book. I'm excited to read more in the series because I want more of them!

She’s not mad enough about him taking advantage of her amnesia. He started a whole relationship with her when she lost her memories, and she was still willing to date him? This book would’ve been better if it was just about her recovery, sans the romance. I enjoyed her banter with the girls and Jesse far more than her scenes with Zach. It’s not the worst romance I’ve read, but I can’t give it three stars since I literally wished it wasn’t a romance.

Rebekah Weatherspoon’s A Cowboy to Remember is everything a good romance should be. With compelling protagonists, witty banter, and a whole lot of chemistry, first-time Weatherspoon readers and hard-core fans alike will be delighted by this novel. The best part? This is the first of a new series, and I already can’t wait to see what comes next.

After chef Evie Buchanan loses her memory after a terrible fall, she finds herself back in Charming, California in the presence of the man who once broke her heart. Cowboy Zach Pleasant is set on righting the wrongs of the past, which is tricky, since Evie doesn’t remember them. As Evie and Zach grow closer, and fragments of her memory begin to return, the question becomes whether or not these two will have a second chance at love, or whether the faults of the past and the realities of the present are too insurmountable.

This is the first Rebekah Weatherspoon novel I have ever read, and it most definitely will not be the last. Weatherspoon takes an interesting spin on what could perhaps be viewed as an unrealistic trope, and makes it So. Darn. Entertaining. I am here for all of it. And don’t even get me started on the simmering chemistry between Evie and Zach. I felt all of the feelings and then some. Weatherspoon is a world-building genius, and populates the narrative with vibrant, actualized characters. The story is fun, with minimal angst, and the ending will leave you with a huge smile on your face.

Hold on to your (cowboy) hats folks, and add A Cowboy to Remember to you TBR pile, stat. And start getting excited for the rest of the series.

Rebekah Weatherspoon has a way of taking historical romance tropes and making them work for contemporaries, but I don't think amnesia plots are my thing. I fell in love with Jesse though and hope he gets his own book!

Thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for the eARC to review.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this one because I don't love an amnesia plot. Even though this also featured my fav trope (childhood friends), there was so little time with Evie being "herself" I struggled just a tad. It was still good and fun, just wish we got a dab more of her and Zach at the end. And maybe more of how she kept up with Jesse and Sam in the 10 years prior!

A Cowboy to Remember is a modern-day Sleeping Beauty story. This contemporary romance novel takes place in California and contains amnesia and second chance romance tropes. This was my first cowboy romance book and I thought this was a cute read! I loved that all the characters were fleshed out and loved meeting the Pleasant brothers. The only part I didn’t really understand was the main characters’ falling out in the past, but didn’t get in the way of me liking the story. This was more of a 3.5 stars for me, but rounded to 4 stars on GoodReads. Definitely recommend picking this one up and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I would take the reviews with a grain of salt. I can see where some of them are coming from but I also think that depends on your taste. It is a slow burn romance with not a lot of graphic sex and details. I think that is okay if that is what you are looking for.
