I read this volume not knowing it was going to be the last. I am profoundly saddened by it. I can’t believe it has ended leaving us with just our hopeful creativity to imagine what happens next.

I longed for the reconciliation between Mafuyu and Uenoyama, yet what we were given wasn’t enough. I rather wanted one last volume, the number 10, to make their story feel as fulfilling as I expected.

But I’m done complaining, I just want their love story to be eternal, if eternity even exists. Winter will never cease to come back again and again, but now Mafuyu has a warmer Sun next to him. So, therefore, happiness begins.

Vito: 4.5
