Gosh, I wanted to love this. l even wanted to like it. The film adaptation was cute and worked all right but the sequel ended up being rushed and often forced. Characters had great potential and I love the inclusivity factor but for all of the character's resourcefulness everything is solved by Deus ex Machina rather than by their tenacity or courage. Disappointing enough for me to say dishonor on your cow :(

This was such a blast to read! Hocus Pocus is one of my all time favorite movies. The beginning of this book was like reading the script and I was all for it. The Sanderson sisters come back a couple of decades later and wreak new havoc on the citizens of Salem.

First part matches movie exactly. Second part gives us an insight of Max and Alison’s daughter. Able to see characters we love grow up and go on new adventures.
