4yo was hooked. I'm new to Narnia too, so I think we'll have fun diving into this world together :)

I had a quote from this book that was nice, but I lost it. šŸ™ƒ

I definitely did/would not have appreciated this story as a child, but I think it provides good set up for the next stories. It is a classic, ā€œAdam and Eveā€-type story, with temptation and the whole shebang. I probably could have just read the Bible for that, but itā€™s nice for kids who this type of story appeals to.

Honestly, what I find most interesting about it is that Lewis wrote this sixth, even though it is chronologically first. It was good enough, though, that I do want to continue on reading the series.

My favorite thing about this book is how clearly it was written for children. So many moments of this book describe or refer to things in a way a child could perfectly understand, while including some moments that adults can appreciate that may go over children's heads. There are some poignant messages in the book as well that stick with you long after you finish it.

I wanted to highlight the whole book. The imagery of the Jesus and the Kingdom of God makes your heart happy while reading.
