Its gave what it needed for a good black romance. I enjoyed the layers of the characters as well. Looking forward to a 2nd book.

this story was real. I really enjoyed it. It was very different from the endings of the books. I usually read, but because of the way the scene was, I got it. I like Pierre and Logan together. i like there relationship. I feel like it’s real. like yeah it has some unhealthy parts but they’re actively working through it to be healthy. I really enjoyed it.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration. At about 80% the story falls into a trope I just don’t love so that brought its rating down for me. Even through some miscommunication I feel like the character caught themselves and talked through the issues that come up in a new relationship especially when you have your own baggage. The spice was really good and I enjoyed the HEA. I look forward to reading more by the author.

Usually I don't write reviews but this book gave me everything I needed in a romance novel. It was realistic and refreshing. I love how story had multiple layers to it where everything wasn't just about sex and being in love. I love how the author didn't make marriage the ultimate goal but instead gave the characters their own storylines outside of each other. This is the first romance novel that I ever read that was balanced so well. There wasn't even a moment where I felt frustrated with the characters (which is common when I read romance novels). Thank you Christina C. Jones for a well rounded story.
