Super fast paced with a gripping plot. Definitely need to binge this one.
Such compelling characters that were superbly narrators. They captured Abel’s robotic yet not monotone voice in both his POV and Noemi’s. It was a great addition to experiencing the book this way!

Noemi is a soldier from Genesis on a desperate suicide mission to save her world from Earth. Abel is a sophisticated "mech" from earth stranded for the past 30 years on a spaceship his creator abandoned. In the midst of a battle Noemi boards Abel's ship, and suddenly their two worlds collide as they begin working together in an attempt to end the war.
This was a fun, if a bit long, science fiction/dystopian YA novel. It's got great world building, and interesting multidimensional characters. It's told from both Noemi's and Abel's perspectives.

3,5 Sterne. Eine spannende SciFi-Opera, die ruhig noch etwas progressiver hätte sein können. Für meinen Geschmack ist Abel so sehr eine fühlende Maschine, dass es bedauerlich war, dass er überhaupt eine menschliche Hülle bekommen hat. Wäre er auch äußerlich als Roboter beschrieben worden, hätte es der Beziehung zu Noemi noch eine ganz andere, interessante Facette gegeben. Noemi wiederum ist eine tolle, zähe Figur, die allerdings etwas zu oft "tief Luft holt". Insgesamt gab es drei bis vier große Szenen, die zum Nägelkauen spannend waren. Leider war das beschriebene Planet-Hopping, so unterschiedlich die Planeten auch waren, teilweise etwas anstrengend.
I’m still wavering between a 3 or 4 star rating. On one hand is the story really good. On the other hand did I think it was a bit too long and slow at times.

That was pretty exciting. Sci-fi is not really my jam, but it's a compelling thought that the stars, the universe and beyond exists as a dystopia. Really cool and fascinating.
This gave me Mass Effect vibes which I absolutely love. I loved the dynamic between Noemi and Abel. It's a slow burn
