This was a heart-pounding, fast-paced, anxiety inducing thriller that I absolutely FLEW through. I cried at the end. Also, never getting on a plane again.

This gave me ANXIETY. During the crash I had to remind myself I was in my kitchen cutting peppers not actually on a plane

This book was like TJ Newman took every one of my deepest fears and wrote them out into a single novel. This was suspenseful and fast-paced and I would definitely recommend it. I hope they make this one into a movie one day… it would be great on the big screen.

OMG this is preposterous and ridiculous.

first the engine blows (okay, fine, it’s a plane going down story), then once they land in the water it blows again, killing those in the water with fire (jet fuel was on the surface) and smoke + trapping the rest in the plane which then sinks, but miraculously stops sinking. They estimate they have about 5 hours of air to find a solution and then, just as they start talking ideas. An 8 yo passenger eats a peanut butter cracker someone found and goes into anaphylaxis but it all works out because someone on the plane had an epi.

Meanwhile on shore, some divers who dive with the navy are conveniently nearby and want to help and one is the wife and mother of the head survivors. Just stop already

I’m speechless. This was an incredible read. As soon as I opened it, I couldn’t put it down. I found myself holding my breath for these characters. It was written beautifully and paced perfectly. What a rollercoaster of emotions!

Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for 2023!
First time I've ever had a book on all 3 formats. It was life changing!

I found 'Drowning' about a month ago at my local Big W, the cover sucked me in so I purchased. Finally picked it up a few days ago AND HOLY SHIT. This book actually sent chills down my spine, the writing is amazing and the description REALLY has it feeling like you're there in the moment. T.J. Newman was added to the list of my favourite authors when I was only at Chapter 4. The book jumps between passengers which I absolutely LOVED, it really helped form a bond with each of them instead of just the main characters.

6 minutes after take-off, flight 1421 is ditched into the Pacific Ocean. Some passengers are able to get off the plane until an engine explodes causing the plane to flood and then 12 passengers are trapped on board. The plane then sinks and is stuck on an underwater cliff.

The book is centred around Will, an engineer and his 11 year old daughter Shannen (who are among the 12 souls stuck on board), Chris, who is Will's soon to be ex wife and Shannen's mum, is a professional diver. After many attempts by the navy for rescue end up failing, is Chris able to save Will and Shannen as well as the remaining 9 passengers?
Times running out, oxygen is running low.
