I saw that most of the reviews were really good, but I guess this just wasn't too much for me! I didn't think it was bad by any means, but I didn't really find myself caring about anyone but the people on the plane really.

I did think it was tense and atmospheric in places. Of course it is though. It can't not be!

Quick and easy read in my opinion! Not bad, not exceptional.

3.7 Stars. It was definitely action packed from the beginning to end. Felt like watching a show or movie.

The second novel in the T. J. Newman planes-under-duress-and-crashing universe. While this has entirely nothing to do with the first novel (other than taking place in a plane), it's still just as intense as the first one. I also found the premise of the second book to be a lot more probable, relatively speaking, than the first book.

A plane crashes in the water, and the survivors that are trapped in the fuselage are stuck on the ocean floor, precariously tipping over a sea cliff. Will and his daughter Shannon are two of the survivors, and he will do anything to figure out how to save her. Meanwhile, his ex-wife Chris, is a professional deep-sea diver and has a personal interest to make sure they make it out alive. If you're looking for an intense thriller that'll have you turning the pages as quickly as possible, don't miss this one. Just...don't read it on a plane.

T.J. Newsman’s newest thriller, Drowning, is nail biting and will leave you gasping for air.
I found the synopsis to be intriguing and captivating and was lucky to receive an ARC read. I was NOT disappointed. Newman has done her background in depth investigation about planes and scuba rescues to bring this story to life. I was on the edge of my seat visualizing the action packed sequences of events. I can see this in movie form!!!
Why 4 stars and not 5? I’m not an aviary person and found the details and vocabulary to much in depth. At times rolling my eyes. However, the more I read, I understood the lessons, and the time spent researching this information.
Thank you Netgalley and Avid Reader Press/Simon & Shuster for ARC digital copy in exchange for my honest review.
