This book was fast-paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were realistic and the descriptions made it easy to follow the emotions of each person. Some of the scientific and engineering aspects were a bit out of my league, but I could follow most of it. Very entertaining book.
This book felt like watching a movie. It had cinematic pizzazz and tension that keeps you glued to the book. I don’t normally gravitate towards books like this, but from the first chapter I knew this was going to be good!
This book primarily focused on two characters, Will and his daughter Shannon. There’s some backstory regarding their family dynamic, and there’s also a bunch of other characters we get to meet in less depth. You’ll find yourself rapidly worrying for each character’s well-being, and sitting on the edge of your seat.
This is a real nail-biter and I don’t say that often! This book is not a casual read and you’re going to feel anxious and emotional. For me, this was heightened since I do not know how to swim! I found myself panicking while reading, and ultimately crying.
This book made my heart pound and I cannot wait (ok maybe I CAN wait because I need to recover from this book) to read this author’s previous book Falling!
