3.5 stars - This book was a very pleasant surprise and I devoured it in one sitting. Many elements were right up my alley - a professional and ambitious heroine, interesting family and friend dynamics, sneaky feelings despite a no-strings set up, and delightfully steamy sex scenes. All of these made it easy for me to get on board with the premise of sleeping with the new boss before she knows he is the new boss (not direct boss) and to buy into the rich hero’s attractiveness. These tropes aren’t usually my favorite, and some of the drama felt a bit over the top but this story really worked for me, even if I did find the ending a bit rushed. I also liked that we got details about the heroine’s job - the emails or text messages from her assistant added just the right amount of humor. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.

Whoa. From the very first page, this one's a scorcher.

And I may never look at guys in Santa suits the same way again. Good thing my kids are too old to ask to go see him at the mall...

I loved every minute of Compromising Her Position! Chelsea and Rafe were a great couple, and their chemistry was off the charts. So. Much. Steam. It made the entire book not only NSFW, it's also NSF-dinner with your kids.

But I persevered anyway. Because I'm strong like that. ;)

The reformed playboy is such a tempting troupe, and Rafe played the part to perfection. It was so fun to see him gradually fall for Chelsea despite everything in him resisting the urge. And Chelsea? Seeing her inner bad girl come out of the closet--while actually in the closet--was fantastic. I completely bought into their HEA 100%, and was cheering for them all the way. Loudly.

On top of the "Brazen"-ness of the story, the writing is just so darn funny. Rafe and Chelsea engage in great banter, and there were many laugh-out-loud situations throughout the book. Even the author's dedication had me snickering, for Pete's sake.
To Heather, for gently suggesting we not call this Fifty Shade of Santa.
See? It's official. I will never be able to look that jolly old elf in the eye again.

I can't wait to see where Ms. Beck is going to take this series next--both Chelsea's BFF Laurie and Rafe's sister Arden are totally deserving of their own HEAs... ;)

Steamy, hot, and really engrossing. I liked this mistaken identity romance primarily because the mistaken identity got cleared up pretty fast. I liked the characters, the pacing, the plot. I wish the ending had been a little less abrupt. But overall, a cute, quick read.

I normally really love Samanthe Beck, but this one was just okay for me.
While I liked both Chelsea and Rafe individually, the evolution of their relationship was just kind of meh for me.

While the initial scene was pretty steamy, it sort of rubbed me the wrong way. I get why it happened… he assumed she knew who he was and she just thought he was someone else, but I don’t know, it was just … uncomfortable once I actually thought about what happened.

So now you know this story starts with a bang… literally, but there is more to this than just sex and I appreciate that Beck created a story that kept me interested even though there were some incredibly cliché things going on here. I didn’t love the depiction of the evil, bad, ex-boyfriend who suddenly has a change of heart and of course you have the playboy love interest who is trying to prove he’s more than just the impression people have of him.

I enjoyed the setting and loved the cute start to each chapter where Chelsea, in hospitality management, is answering weird questions regarding the resort she’s currently working at.

Definitely enjoyed this from Beck, but just didn’t love it like I do some of her other stories.

Grab it for a quick, sexy, steamy read!

Thank you for Entangled for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I'm not even sure why I thought I would like this book... I'm so over the billionaire playboy thing it's not even funny. Also Christmas is like my least favorite holiday. BaHumBug! The whole closet sex thing at the beginning was cringe worthy and even though the author tried to clear up the consent issue it still left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
