Could have been so much better if he had taken the columns and re-written them as a diary or aadded more detail

A solid read with some good humour. However, at least two chapters seemed to essentially be on the same topic, the humorous tropes were re-used and got tired quickly. I would recommend for some light fun reading but it didn’t stand out to me.

Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat: A Year on the Farm offers readers a hilarious and insightful peek into the life of the iconic television personality turned farmer. As someone who has followed Clarkson's antics on television for nearly two decades, I anticipated plenty of laughs, and this book did not disappoint.
Divided into seasons, Clarkson takes us on a journey through the ups and downs of farm life, sharing anecdotes and observations along the way. Some topics covered in the book will be familiar to fans of his farm show on Amazon, while others offer fresh insights into his experiences.
Clarkson's trademark wit is evident on every page, ensuring that readers are entertained from start to finish. Whether he's discussing the trials of agriculture or sharing his thoughts on rural life, Clarkson's humor shines through, making this book a joy to read.
Overall, A Year on the Farm is a must-read for fans of Clarkson, farming enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a good laugh. I eagerly await the next installments in the Diddly Squat series, knowing that Clarkson's unique perspective will continue to entertain and delight readers.

We bought the Clarkson’s farm books for my dad as a father’s day present from us and the cat and i decided to have a read. This book is an extension of the show and is good for a light read to pass the time. It only took me around 2 hours to read as there’s not much content and lots of empty pages stating the season and month, with cute drawings. Originally i would have rated this book 3 stars and then there was an interesting (?) comment suggesting a link between vegetarianism and high suicide rates in farmers. There were more comments about the left wing, lgbt people and more that seemed unrelated and uncomfortable to read. I’m interested to see what other comments Clarkson will make about the ‘avacado eating people’. Overall, i did enjoy the content about farming but this book did give me the same feeling as reading political memes that old people share on facebook.
These are not my favourite books but good for an occasional easy read
