3.5 AVERAGE

With all the casting news and filming being done, I found it impossible not to reread this series. And I’m so glad I did!

This is my second read of this book and it was just as good as the first time I read it. I was terrified that it wouldn’t be as good as I remember, but instead I got a deeper look into the characters.

This is the kind of book where you come for the spice but you end up with so much more. The tenderness between Ava and Jesse is so beautiful but then it can switch to the intense, dominating scenes we all wish for.

Honestly, Jesse (The Lord of the Manor) is the ultimate alpha hero. He’s possessive and domineering but he can also read Ava so well that he knows when she needs his tender side.

Although Ava was technically a submissive, she didn’t always follow his rules. She wasn’t meek, and she fought back against Jesse’s questionable requests. It was always amusing watching Jesse lose his shit.

The only reason why this book didn’t get the full 5 stars is because at times the spice happened a bit too often and felt unnecessary. But, each scene did have a little something new.

It was so fun reading it this time knowing the ending. I could see all the ways Jodi slipped in the signs throughout.

I’m beyond ecstatic for the movie release on Passionflix. December can’t come quick enough.

✦ Tropes: Billionaire, Alpha Hero, Age gap, British hero, Love at first sight

The girl is such a push-over and a doormat. I finished the series because I was hoping she would snap out of her pathetic self but she didn't. Unfortunately. I lost all respect for her at the end and the guy? Call the police, immediately if you ever encountered one like him in real life.

I really loved this book, I was so addicted to the characters... Specifically Jesse, not allot of information is given about him which normally I don't like but his intensity is captivating! The way he is clearly drawn to Ava is addicting, you can't get enough of her in any way. I got so unglued in this book that at the end I was literally almost in tears... That my friends is a good book!

Im kinda having a hard time with Ava shes driving me a little crazy

This is the book that started it all for me, I will forever be on Jesse cloud nine. This book is so beautifully written, you’ll find yourself searching every stranger you walk by for your very dominant, alpha male. Jesse is toxic. He has red flags, he is throwaway your birth control to impregnate you, so he you forever and you just eat that shit up. I am not one for a pregnancy trope, but it was perfectly written in this book. I will forever be in love with my first boyfriend Lord of the Manor! Anything written by this author is 1 million gold stars! I don’t know how to get reviews I don’t know how to do this, but please buy this book. You won’t regret it. It’s a trilogy, and the author has written the same trilogy in reverse where you see it from his point of view. Read this book, read the series commit, you won’t regret it!!

I loved it but Jesse went a bit too far sometimes.

UMMM what even is this book? I read 40% and had to stop, no plot, no character development.

I think one description said that this was one of the most romantic books on goodreads, I THINK NOT!

DID NOT FINISH: 27%

Didn’t like the main male character, he was a bit too aggressive/forceful and had double standards towards the main female character. Couldn’t get into it; the plot wasn’t substantial so liking the characters is necessary to enjoy this book I feel.
