Blackberry Beach by Irene Hannon takes us to Hope Harbor where Katherine comes to relax and contemplate her future. Zach, Hope Harbor’s barista and coffee shop owner, A sweet man with no prospects in his dating life meets Kat and the sparks fly. Blackberry Beach explores loss and grief, family conflict and reconciliation and healing. I did enjoy this book though it did move a bit slow in some spots. All in all, it was a good read for being the 7th book in the Hope Harbor series, however it can be read as a standalone.

I would like to thank Revell for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Every time I read an Irene Hannon book I never want to leave!

Except maybe her suspense.

Another winner from Irene Hannon. Each spring for the last few years, I eagerly look forward to the next story on the Hope Harbor series because the stories are always full of great characters, a fantastic storyline and a dose of hope in the pages. This series NEVER disappoints! I really enjoyed Zach and Kat and the premise of two people finding a new life for themselves when they realize what is truly important in life. Great message and a wonderful story make this a five star read for me in a series I never miss. Can't wait for the next one!!

4.5 stars but rounding up to 5. All last year...I kept trying to find the next "Virgin River" series for me. Books that gave me that same feeling of small town romance between adults. This is the first book I've read since finishing that and other Robyn Carr series that gave me that same feeling. This book had touched of Christian romance themes but it wasnt preachy...just felt natural with the story and these characters. Perhaps for that reason...this is not a steamy romance. But it was just a nice romance between mature adults and I loved it. I hesitate to say a full 5 stars because I dont know that I would say this is a new all time favorite...but it was a great book that gave me the feeling I've been looking for in a book for a while. Definitely planning to check out more from this author. The audiobook was also great. Highly recommend.

Title: Blackberry Beach
Author: Irene Hannon

Ch: 28 plus epilogue

Pg: 352

Series: Hope Harbor Book 7

Genre: Christian Contemporary

Rating: 4 stars

Publisher: Revell

Though Blackberry Beach by Irene Hannon is the 7th book in the Hope Harbor series it can be read as a standalone. Though I haven't read any of Irene's contemporaries but I've loved every one of the suspense novels she's written. And Blackberry Beach was no exception. To me it was the perfect spring read, especially after all the heavy WWII fiction I had been reading.

I loved both the heroine Katherine Parker and the hero Zach Garrett both of whom are hiding a past as well as hurts. Both end up in Hope Harbor for different reasons, but it might just be what both of them need. The secondary characters didn't take away from the story they only added to it and gave it more depth.

As a reader I loved the fictional small coastal town in Oregon, and who wouldn't love a beach with blackberry bushes. This sweet read was filled with the prefect balance, of faith, friendship and romance and I look forward to reading other books in the series.

If you like chaste, Christian stories this book may be for you. The reader spends a lot of time in the main characters’ heads, which are full of self doubt. The setting was lovely.

Thanks to the publisher and author for the complimentary copy I received in a Goodreads giveaway.

Thank you to @netgalley and @revellbooks for a copy of Blackberry Beach in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 7 in the Hope Harbor (Oregon) series but if this is your first trip to Hope Harbor this book could be a stand alone story!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Katherine Parker is on the cusp of becoming a huge, household name in Hollywood. But after a misunderstanding that results in a tragedy, she flees to Hope Harbor to examine if Hollywood life is worth it. Trying to fly under the radar, Katherine still attracts the attention of Zach Garrett, the local barista with a history and life changing story of his own. When they find out they are neighbors, they grow closer and weather the punches that life throws their way.

I love the Oregon coast setting and the quaint town! And I was rooting for both Zach and Katherine the whole time. It’s the perfect cozy story for a spring day!

I loved the first line in Blackberry Beach! "The mystery woman was back." This story was such a satisfying read! I'm ready to travel to Hope Harbor and never leave! And yes, this is book 7 and it's my first time visiting! Don't judge my lack of reading this series in order. hahahaha

Since I'm not sure if any of the characters have been in the previous stories, we're just going to pretend they aren't. So, we meet Zach who runs The Perfect Blend, which sounds like a coffee shop that my coffee loving heart would love! A mystery woman has visited his shop a couple of times and he's trying to figure out what her story is. Unfortunately, Kat has no desire for anyone to even notice her let alone try to figure her out!

I just loved everything going on in this story. It was absolutely refreshing! It was really all about relationships and I needed that escape. To not have crazy, nefarious stuff going on in the background of any of the characters lives was fantastic! If you need a story that you can "rest" in, look no further. You will grow to care about all of the characters in equal amounts. Ok, that's a lie, some more than others. HA!

One of the huge aspects that I enjoyed about this story was having 5 POVs. Yes, 5. But Irene Hannon does it in such a way that it's not confusing, and gives you insight into that specific character. That's something I'm immensely fond of! I hope this is something she's done in the other books of this series.

And yes, while this book is mainly about Zach and Kat, his Aunt Stephanie and his barista, Frank really appealed to me. They're a bit older than me, but reading their storyline really stuck out to me in the sense that we need more books written for the older crowd in such a way that we know they still have vitality and a penchant for trying new things!

Can we also talk about Charley for a moment? On occasion stories have characters that I think we would agree we need to have in our lives. Charley is certainly one of them. His kindness, understanding, acceptance, and wisdom are a magnet any of us would want to be pulled in to! He was kinda my favorite! Don't tell any of the other characters though.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the other 6!!!

*I received this book for review. This is my personal opinion.
