Good build up, the ending was kinda lame lol

Typical Gillian Flynn book. This was okay. Wasn’t terrible. Took a while to get into it even with it being so short

I liked the twist but wish we got to sit in it a bit longer than moving onto the next part

I loved the creepy kid saying his Mum was actually going to kill her not him and how they were in danger. But then in the car he immediately began to say he lied and just wanted to leave so he trapped her into kidnapping him, kinda. I wish she was suspicion of the Mum a while longer before moving onto the possibility that the kid was lying

Miles was also only 15 but had a monologue planned like a scooby-doo villain

The writing is so smart, in a dark sarcastic tongue in cheek kind of way.
The fight for Sex workers’ rights should include support for contracting carpal tunnel syndrome by 30 from giving too many handjobs.

“Empathetic silence is one of the most underused weapons in the world.”

4 stars. Wow...what...huh...how???

Wow.

My mind is blown. Gillian Flynn is a fucking genius and I think she might be a touch mad. Goodness does this woman know how to write dark, messed up stories. This was awesome. So, so awesome and I don't even know how to express how I'm feeling right now. I think the plot twist (and untwist?? I don't fucking know) was brilliant and left me on the edge of my seat. I liked the open ending quite a bit but I had to take a star because I'm selfish and I wanted this to be a full blown novel.

Overall, this was just a quick reminder of why I appreciate Gillian Flynn as a writer because she's definitely in a league of her own and I look forward to whenever she decides to grace us with more stories from her dark, twisted, brilliant little mind.
