For the first 2/3rds of this book, I kept thinking why is it rated so low and why does everyone seem to dislike it. Then, I kept reading and understood. This story builds up well and has a fairly interesting and compelling main character, but my god the ending. Two words: dumb + unsatisfying. Wtf. At least, it's a quick read.

Perfect little Gillian Flynn novel. Slightly more ghostly than her others but I'm fairly confident that was the point. Flynn's writing is paced well and edgy without being too over the top, which I love. Can't wait for more to come from her.

Gillian Flynn does it again. I don’t know how she always hits it out of the park, but she does. I’ve always had a soft spot for scam artists and grifters. Maybe that’s because I am occasional lying problem, but that’s beside the point. I LOVE this narrator. Ths novella is just so fucking funny, while still being intriguing. And the TWIST???? ugh, obsessed.

Quick, good read. The plot twists are amazing, and it was completely different than what I expected from reading the description. The characters also have a lot of depth for such a short story.

Hmmm.... I didn't care for Gone Girl, so I was suspicious of this. But it wasn't quite like that. It leaves you hanging, which I kind of like in the month of Halloween.
