5 star for a quick story with a suspenseful cliffhanger for a stand alone book. Flynn is so good at gripping you in with details but getting to the point at. Just. The. Right. Time.

reading challenge 2016 - a book under 150 pages

this short story has a great opening line, and an ending that really didn't work for me. the beginning was classic flynn, i liked the turn that the middle of the story took but was ultimately let down by the ending. it was still an enjoyable quick read for a gillian flynn fix but i'm glad i got it from the library!

Didn't feel creeped out even once. Only finished it to know how it will end. lol. Didn't like the overly open ending at all.

This book was a trip. The ending is not definitive, which is why I knocked off a quarter star, although it was quite well done. I liked the main character of the book, too, with her love of reading and the way she's willing to do what she has to in order to survive, while having certain lines she doesn't cross.

Actually now that I think about it... It's a 5 star.
fast-paced

Short and twisted.

This was engaging, mindfucky, and pleasantly dark - just what I'd expect from a Gillian Flynn story
