something about gillian flynn's writing rubs me the wrong way. it's like prose for women in their late 30s who are still hip. still, i enjoyed the turns this took and the questions left open at the end, i had fun.
This was fun while it lasted. At first it was mainly social commentary that turned into mystery with a little ghost story thrown in. I liked the flow of the writing. The ending though left a bad taste in my mouth. Fun and quick read.

This one left me feeling empty at the end. It’s a good story as it was originally intended….to be part of a George R.R. Martin anthology. However, I don’t feel that it should have been republished on its own. The saving grace - her proficient writing skills.
