A lot of promise, but I felt like it just sputtered out to a bad ending.

Fantastic!
Effectively creepy and well written. A nice little novella.
Do short stories count? It feels a little like cheating to count this towards my 52 books. As is the case with Flynn's stories, we have an unreliable female narrator. She is commissioned to "cleanse" a house. Creepiness and psychological warfare ensues. The conclusion is open-ended leaving it up to the reader to decide. Wasn't completely surprised by the twist, but it was still pretty good. Overall, if you like Flynn's other works you will like this one. It's very short and worth the read.
A punchy, unlikeable narrator who you still want to root for, and a twisted family that keeps you guessing until the very end. This short story was everything you expect from a Gillian Flynn piece, and nothing you don't. If you're not a fan of her work, then you will hate this. But if you appreciate her style, it will be right up your alley.
Twists, as usual, from Gillian Flynn! However, it wasn't hard to predict the outcome. I enjoyed the character development in this short read. It was fun and quick, and made a nice audiobook.
Okay this was such a a strange but intriguing book. The ending had me actually spiraling because what do you mean by that?
