WICKED PLANTS: The Weed that Killed Lincoln’s Mother & Other Botanical Atrocities by Amy Stewart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A lovely little compilation of short “biographies” of poisonous, toxic and other troublesome plants. So many intriguing and terrifying facts in this book! What’s not to love?

I thought it would have more stories.

Looks nice on a shelf & fun to pick up and read one or two entries, but I'm not sure how accurate some of the anecdotes were.

I felt like I was being read a sassy Wikipedia article which is exactly what I was looking for.

As expected there was a lot of information in this book, and some of that information stuck. I didn't love the "wicked" element that resulted in the author making things sound more dramatic than I would like in an informative text.
Probably adding to my lower rating of this book is that I listened to it. I am not sure if there were pictures which surely would have added enjoyment. Also, the reader had a less-exaggerated Moira Rose pronunciation, so that was both humorous and occasionally irritating.

Perfect for the O.W.L.S, read this for the Herbology challenge. Read a book with plants on the cover!
