2.5 stars. This was OK, but not my favorite from this author. In particular, I did not care for the dual POV used in this series. Jon and Donavan’s voices/POVs were just so similar that it was difficult to differentiate between the two POVs as they switched back and forth. As some other reviews have mentioned, the character/relationship development was also pretty much done by the end of the 1st book. There just wasn’t very much new in this book, and so it felt pretty slow and repetitive. So while this book/series isn’t bad, i just prefer this author’s How I Stole The Princess’s White Knight series instead.
