A fast-paced page turner, so a great second instalment in the trilogy. 

I think I enjoyed this more after thinking of it as a telenovela with Marist as the protagonist (tell me Marist is not a telenovela name!), instead of a romance. Also most of the book is about the games between Macalister and Marist, so it feels like it’s their story.

Shocked, it’s the only word that comes to mind after finishing this book. The first book was a roller coaster. This is like a death drop. It will leave you absolutely breathless. I am in awe of Sloane’s writing. Can’t wait to see how this ride finishes.
