Not usually the type of book I’d pick up, Wildwood is beautifully written and colorful. Pulled into the environment and relating to the politics of the wood gave this book a thumbs up.

Cute book! The characterization left a lot to be desired, and the writing was sometimes clunky. That being said, there was rich world building with a solid and well-paced plot. I needed a lighter read, and it lived up to that. Also, if you live in Portland/cascadia, it was quite fun to read about all the areas and plants here. A cute read for a kid, still very entertaining for an adult!
adventurous dark fast-paced

An ok read. Was way too long and could’ve been shortened by at least a third. Curtis’ ending bugged me, it didn’t make sense except to set up a sequel. Overall felt very Narnia.

Read aloud to Aidan right before his 10th birthday.
