I feel as if I've totally missed the point of this book. It was totally confusing for me. I just didn't get all the fairy tale aspects. However, I loved the relationship between Elsa and her quirky, eccentric grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed their unique adventures. But for me, the story line was too jumbled and unrealistic. I realize from other reviews that there are many who might enjoy this book but I would have difficulty recommending it. I was provided a digital copy of this book by Netgalley.

This story is absolutely precious! Following the charming and wise Elsa, you fall in love with the cast of characters around her and come to the most important realization that most people are a mix of a shit and not a shit. I laughed, I cried, this book was like your mom bringing you warm soup on a day home sick from school. I soothes the soul of anyone who is a lover of all people, good, bad, and in between. Is it somewhat ridiculous and on the nose with its metaphors?? Sure. Do I care?? Nope! Perfect cozy winter read.
Gorgeous. This book captures the beauty and power of stories.

This would have been more believable if the Elsa was 9 going on 10
