Wink

From the very first page, I was pulled into Affton and Cable's mostly hate relationship. With powerful emotions (like hate), you KNOW there's gonna be plenty of passion--and there was.

I loved Affton. She was hesitant at first to get involved through reasons that I could completely understand, but despite those reasons and her initial hatred of him, you always feel the undercurrent of more.

This book focuses on addiction and mental health, and while it's not a textbook example, I actually really liked that about it. It felt more like a personal account, from both the addict and those that love them.

"She was the light I needed to see through the dark. She was the goodness that took up all the room inside of me where the bad got to play. I would always have my demons, but this girl did her best to tame them. I did love her in my own broken way and always had. I just had to make sure that was enough to keep her."

Oh My Gosh! This book is so good! I'm not a fan of guy who smoking and has tattoo but ASDFGHJKL WHERE CAN I FIND SOMEONE LIKE CABLE JAMES MCCAFFREY???? HE'S P.E.R.F.E.C.T

Btw I think Ocean by Mike Perry suit for this book

Cable and Affton’s story is so heartbreakingly beautiful! I highly recommend this book. I could not put it down because I had to know what was coming next!

Addiction didn't discriminate.
Addiction didn't care about the square footage of your house or the kind of car you drove.
It didn't care about your pedigree or your GPA.
Addiction was an equal opportunity life-ruiner.

I didn't find this book as interesting as her previous books and it really didn't draw my intention. Because usually I can read one of books in a day this one took me four.

I'm going to start by saying....despite what I'm about to say...I enjoyed this book. Now....

I hate it when authors repeat a characters full name OVER AND OVER AGAIN. In this case it's not just Cable McCaffrey. It's Cable JAMES McCaffrey. Cable James McCaffrey this and Cable James McCafferey that. I'm pretty sure when this chick gets off she shouts Cable James McCafferey. It's sooooooooooo annoying and became distracting at a certain point. I mean seriously. Every time I hear someone bust out a full name I look behind me to make sure my mother isn't there giving me crap for something. Because that's legitimately the only reason to bust out the middle name. Middle names come out when mom's serious....and you're seriously in trouble.

For this alone I'm deducting a star from an otherwise 4/5 book.
