I wasn't sure about it at first, then she mentioned the horse and I was like- "HORSES" and suddenly I read it ten times faster lmao
But no, seriously; I wasn't sure about the book at first, Astor's behavior felt a little weird and almost like a big red flag at the beginning but THEN... it turned me into a giggling, crying mess, in the best way possible.
There were definitely some cringy scenes but it was worth it for all the cute scenes and I just loved reading the book!
SPOILERS AHEAD!
I mean, I giggled, cried and giggled again when he bought all the horses back and admitted his feelings for her- SO GOOOOD ughh. I just live for a good age gap and this book delivered.

Enjoyable but I get so tired of the FMC in these books being so young. Didn’t take any stars away for that - just a general complaint. I liked the deviation from the standard mid book break up.

I really enjoyed the beginning of the story and the spice but as the story went on, the plot became so messy and over the top.

I really enjoyed Indie and Astor's story. What started out a little twisted and dark turned into something beautiful.
While I don't agree with some of the things that occurred in the book, I enjoyed seeing the connection between the two of them grow.
I'm very much looking good forward to the next book.

This was pure smut and little to no plot. But as a sucker of forbidden romances, this was a guilty pleasure that I enjoyed

I hope this is just a small taste of the contemporary stories that Kaleigh has up her sleeve. While it’s short, it packs one heck of a punch that was unexpected.
I am usually not one for an age gap, especially with one where the hero is more than twice the age of the heroine. King made me forget the age gap between Astor and Indie and yanked me into the story of two people who have had to fight for every piece of their life. Indie was belt a crappy hand when it comes to her mom and with her dad's death, everything falls apart. Her mom does her best to make her life miserable. Astor doesn't know if people want to be around him because of his money or who he is. Once he met Indie he knew he needed to own her, and Indie needed his money. What they end up finding is a whirlwind of emotions that was completely unexpected. They both just want someone to love and love them for who they are.
