I enjoyed the book but Gus was just so far from being realistic…it threw me off. The man sees his ex wife once in 20 years and suddenly decides he needs therapy and to be perfect? Lawls.

We also got no answers so idk if that’s because there’s more books or what?

It was an okay book. I felt that there were some unanswered questions and it was a pretty abrupt ending. The unexpected marriage between the brother and doctor didn’t make sense to me since we didn’t get anything about them in this book. Also we didn’t really get much on her pregnancy. I’m a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope and that’s what prompted me to read the book but it was more of a mini trope.

I was honestly really hesitant to start this one because of the surprise preg. I right off the bat I loved the story and the characters, I’ve loved the town and its charm since the first set of books about Lovewell but the Herbert Brothers have been laying on the charm even thicker. I loved getting to know Gus and Chloe, their chemistry and their history all top tier. I will always love Daphne for her ability to give us the wonderful smut scenes, a beautiful romance, and a mystery/triller underline throughout the series. This is why I will always recommend Daphne to anyone who will listen!
