I loved the gender swap for "The Bodyguard", it's such a cute and refreshing setting to have the male client and female bodyguard. Also, it was the celeb/pleb relationship done right! Very long buildup and PG romance scenes, but still very sweet and romantic in the end. I really liked the backstory and the humor, it wasn't exactly a book I would speed-read but I enjoyed it a lot nevertheless. One thing that kinda irked me was how the fmc was kinda a "not like the other girls" kinda girl, she was "plain and ordinary", "wore zero makeup", then she was compared to the hyper femininity of the mmc's exes, who were cartoonish and villainous (she only cares about her Instagram followers etc.), like it is 2022. Overall though, it was a very formulaic rom-com with a feel-good ending.

I cannot overstate how much I LOVED this. I returned it to the library, and immediately purchased it in Libro. 
Truly just so unbelievably happy and fun
