This was the exact kind of cliche paranormal shojo I was looking for. It feels very reminiscent of the kinds of shojos that came out in 2000s and while it's nothing unique it is fun.

First, I’d like to say thank you to Netgalley and Kodansha for sending me an ARC of this manga.

I got major Ouran vibes from this manga. I love the characters, Ruka is so interesting, and I found myself sad for Mito.

I'm so excited to hopefully pick up volume 2! This was such a good, quick read. I can't wait to read more!

I absolutely flew through this adorable start to what I hope will be a fun series! In a world where the more you're loved, the sweeter you taste, an unloved girl who dresses as a boy to avoid catching attention on the streets ends up becoming the thrall of a nerdy vampire who doesn't drink from women.

This went by so fast and I immediately wanted more! The art style was cute, it was funny, and I loved the bond growing between Mito and Ruka. A small touch that I really enjoyed was that Ruka never had any thoughts about being grossed out for reacting to someone he thinks is a guy-- I feel like it's common inside the trope, so I enjoyed him not acting disgusted. I'm really looking forward to reading more!

It was decent. Kinda reminds me of Twilight only the heroine pretends he's a guy. I am rooting more for the bad boy than the vampire.

A cute fantasy romance about a vampire who refuses to drink the blood of women and convinces a young man to be his thrall—but this young man is actually a woman in disguise! Throw in a human man who wants to protect her from the vampire and we have a fun, lighthearted love triangle. Vampire fans will enjoy this, for sure. I’ll be picking up books 2 & 3 soon!

(Thank you Netgalley for an eARC in exchange for a review)

We begin the story with Mito, who seems to be a handsome boy full of problems and misunderstandings. Everywhere he goes girls are falling for him and that makes for a lot of trouble. He encounters Ruka, a vampire. At the taste of Miko's blood, Ruka realizes that he has never been loved and is convinced to give him a loved life so his blood will taste better. Turns out Ruka only wants to feed from boys which will them become a bigger problem since Mito is not a boy but a girl who has lived her life in disguise.

I have to stay the story is quite simple and does not contain a big plot or problem. It makes the story very easy to read but it does lack a bit of entertainment. It is also very short and it think it was a very simple way of introducing characters and has the potential if getting better.

This was such an enjoyable read to kick off 2022. I found this take on vampires so intriguing and something I haven’t come across to often. I love the the secret identity aspect of this book. The only downside I really had is I felt like there was something missing in fleshing out of this idea of vampires and a thrall and how Ruka could only feed from a fated women. Maybe that picks up in the next book and I’ll definitely be reading it, Im just in no rush.
