Plot or Character Driven: A mix

I started reading this because I've been watching the anime, and I love the vibes so far!

I'm really excited to see how Mito's life at the dorm is going to be and the wild journey she's undoubtedly going to go on.

The illustrations are beautiful! All the character designs are spot on!

On my days off I go to the Goodwill Bins and dig through the giant bins of books looking for treasure. I generally grab any manga I find and this one was a recent pickup. It's much more recent than I realized and there is modern dialogue, I was wrongly assuming this was an older series.

It's cheesy and you can't really take it seriously but it was fun in a very guilty pleasure sort of way. A bit suggestive at times but I think you probably know that going in based on the cover and description. I'm not going to go searching for more volumes but I think anyone looking for cheesy vampire romance would be happy with it.

I received a copy of this manga through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

It was a pretty classic smuttier manga with tropes of cross-dressing and reverse harem (with quite beautiful man specimens)…and…oh yes…vampires.

A promising, albeit fast-paced start! Definitely a manga series I will continue reading.

Fun! But Ruka and Ren are weirdos and Mito doesn’t check them enough

The first half was hard to get through for me. I really love the story but the plot just moved so fast and was incredibly unbelievable. It all felt a bit odd to me. But I forged on and am happy I did! The second half is way better. This is definitely a light and fun read, and Ren is already my favorite.

It's an interesting story and which romance is difficult to classify. I don't know if it would be gay, bisexual, or straight, but it's captivating without a doubt. The beginning seemed a bit rushed, but the development made up for it to a large extent with attractive characters, a natural chemistry between Mito and Ruka, and situations full of humor. The only real complaint I have, because it's a story that takes a lot of risks in parodying the clichés of vampire romance, is the character of Ren. I really don't understand how anyone could look kindly on him.

For someone who hasn't really been keen on vampires for over 10 years this was really enjoyable. It is a fast and cute read. It is giving me love triangle, and even though I know who the female lead will go for, I didn't mind it.
