Ive been looking forward to this book for WEEKS, and it did not disappoint.

First, the concept and plot was really good. I was intrigued and hooked right off the bat. Literally texting my friend three chapters in and like, THIS IS GOOD. I thought it flowed well, and there was a perfect amount of smut and plot.

I really liked the FMC. She starts off this soft spoken and submissive woman, and grows into her own strength and power. I liked that she kept getting stronger and stronger, and in the end, she handled her own business and never lost that power. A lot of times these FMC get power and lose it in the end, or they end up having to be saved. I liked that neither of those things happened.

The MMC was delicious. They were mostly different. I liked that we had our possesive controlling leader, our unhinged madman, and then, one of my only complaints, is that spade and club felt too similar. At first I thought club was gonna be the untrusting broody man, but he flipped into a cinnamon roll too quickly. And spade was our sweet cinnamon roll. They were just a little too similar and I wish their personalities were a little more distinguished.

The spice was excellent and plentiful. It was darker and rougher, so beware. But I loved it. The book does start with a scene of sexual assault, so check your triggers.

My biggest complaints of the book was, I wish we got to see more of the FMC in her role in the circus. We were told what she was training for, and we got several scenes of her watching the show, and once with brief participation. But I wanted more. I wanted scenes of her in a full act, or scenes of her finally doing the cards. Just a little more.

But all in all, this book was phenomenal and I loved it!

Damn I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review because this book was so F-ing good and I don’t want to give anything away!! I love how the book starts and it had me interested with the prologue! Ember is on the brink of death and calls the Cirque Obscurum but doesn’t realize how. In order to save her she has to give her soul to the Cirque! I love the person she becomes, she’s badass and doesn’t need any of the men it save her…even though there are four incredibly sexy, dangerous men to save her! Overall I loved the writing of this book, it flowed so well and I just got sucked in wishing I could go live at a Cirque. I loved the men and how we got their stories as to how they came to the Cirque. I absolutely loved when they would answer the call and the unhinged madness that would follow! Then the spice…WHEW! Of course I wanted more but let me tell you these scenes were

MMMMF; Amazing plot to spice ratio. This story was incredible, different, and had me hooked from the beginning. Check the list, there are graphic details of physical abuse, and abuse of children. This is an incredible journey, and highly recommend!

Amazingly horrifying

Love all Katie’s books, she always writes such a unique et gripping storyline and this one is right up there with the best.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect but immediately got dragged into this addictive plot. Ember is so strong and her Herat belongs to the Circus Obscurum, even as a young child, she’s. a performer in waiting.
Love all the guys, beautifully damaged just like Ember their queen. So much pain and sorrow in their pasts, together they are the heart of the circus.
I love a little unhinged retribution and this book delivers in spades.
Amazing, I’m left astounded by this fabulous book.

Cirque Obscurum is dark and spicy, and I loved every bit of this reverse harem, dark romance tale. Check those trigger warnings because every soul that ends up at the unique Cirque Obscurum has endured something horrible. Ember endures her own situation and is brought into the Cirque by the four masked men. Not only is getting to watch her heal and figure out her new place amazing, but discovering the uniqueness and magic of the Cirque and the Suits had me glued to the book until the very end.

"Now go have fun, little darkling. Enjoy the darkness you find."
