Fell a little short. The romance was very insta love. It was certainly dark but the only parts that made me feel anything were the depictions of the realistic evil of humanity. Good ideas and good lines but fell flat with the minimal distinction between men.
was hyped to read this cause i usually enjoy circus anything but this was so so so unfortunately mid. didn’t know much about her backstory 30% to care about her as a character. not much distinction between all the men. it also wasn’t atmospheric enough for a dark romance circus. i wanted to feel anything but cringe and meh. not gonna push through cause it’ll put me in an even bigger slump so im dnfing at 30%

I really wanted to rate this higher but there was a few things I couldn’t get past, I didn’t enjoy how instalove it was, I don’t mind reading instalove but I still need to feel like it works and for me this didn’t, they had known each other like less than a week and throwing around ‘I love yous’ and unfortunately 3 of the guys I couldn’t really tell apart, but the end I just gave up trying to figured it out. Diamond was my fave and I think that was from him being the leader so he was easy to let apart from the rest and even though the others did have different personalities it just didn’t show enjoy on the writing for me to tell.
I did enjoy the storyline, it started off really rough for Ember so it was nice to see her become stronger. I loved the confidence she gained, loved how the guys really supported her in everything. I loved reading the scene where they were actually preforming! I loved the work outside of the cirque that they did together.
