I was expecting so much more after all the hype but what a bore. He’s not this big bad mafia guy, like they build him up to be. Repetitive and just ehh I just stopped reading because I was bored.

this book was horrible, never reading it again. I only read it because I was forced to.
I have liked Jeremy since the first book and contemplated starting his book before Annika’s. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. My heart can’t handle Cecily’s and Jeremy’s love for each other. Rina has done it again.

3.5/5! ⭐
I wouldn't cherry-pick much from the story since I was having fun with the story overall, which is rather unexpected because I had put down GoM's after the first few chapters. It held my attention and was fast-paced, and there's always something happening most of the time. Though, it wrapped up in a rush and it felt unsatisfying. It's definitely something I would prefer as a palate cleanser after multiple fantasy books back to back. The ending had me bamboozled too. I was suspecting the wrong character of being the mastermind the entire time and my jaw dropped lmao.
I love Cecily and Jeremy. They balanced each other out so well that I couldn't imagine them falling for a different person. Jeremy was a bit overbearing and frustrating, and I understood that he was just doing things his way to ensure the people he loved were safe. I thought there was more about his past besides his issues with his mother, but that was just it. I need more interactions from Annika and Jeremy. Especially with his mother. I wanted to see them with his family, instead of only with Cecily's.
My heart went out for Cecily, and I do see where she was coming from, which is why I really put her high up on my list for holding herself up for quite some time. I related deeply to how it felt to drown in your own skin, and no one can see through the murky and distorted surface. Proud that she always stood up for herself against Jeremy and initiated things to get past Jeremy's armour. You go, girl!
I was stressing out with their miscommunication and I think that would have been better if they took the time to resolve their issues, especially after Cecily called their arrangement off. Smoke. I needed Jeremy to grovel. No kidding. I was just glad that they worked out in the end and seeing how much they helped each other heal for the better made me feel things. Having glimpses of their personal lives and dynamics with their friends was a nice touch.
And don't let me get started with how much I enjoyed Xander's and Adrian's POVs. I was laughing out loud with Xander's, then fell quiet with Adrian's. It was rather refreshing that the mafia son had a good relationship with his father. Quite surprising, I might say. For the spice, I wouldn't comment much since my eyes skimmed through most parts.
(Good for them and I'll just sob in my corner).

I went into this book excited because I really enjoyed god of malice but god of wrath didn’t click for me at all. Jeremy and Cecily dynamic felt forced from the beginning. Instead of watching their chemistry grow, I felt like I was being told they were connected without actually seeing it their bond lacked natural tension banter and emotional depth that made me killian and glyndon so compelling.
Loved this one! Definitely dark romance but it just hit for me. Likable MCs, spicy, and entertaining. So far the best in the Legacy series.
